About Me

My name is Izzy Bernie and I’m a tap dancer with about ten years of experience, and I currently dance and take class in New York City. Tap has always been something that brings me joy, and I love sharing that with others. I created this workshop to make tap fun, accessible, and welcoming for everyone, no matter their age or experience level. The sessions mix beginner-friendly steps with upbeat music and simple rhythm exercises that support coordination, focus, and creativity. I teach this workshop to middle school students, as well as senior communities, and I’m now working to expand beyond! My goal is to bring people together through movement, music, and the energy of tap.

Workshops

I run a blog that focuses on what’s happening in the real world of tap, including new dancers, fresh projects, and events that are shaping the community. It’s where I keep track of what’s exciting and inspiring in tap right now. Click below to explore the latest posts.

Middle School Workshops

In this tap dance workshop for middle school students at my school, we began by building a strong foundation in the basics of tap.

Nursing Home Workshops

I also bring tap dance to local nursing homes, creating an inclusive and engaging experience for residents.
